🥾 6 Weeks to Go ! Get Trek-Ready for Amarli 💪

The countdown is on ! With just 6 weeks until the 2025 Trek for Amarli, now’s the perfect time to start ( or ramp up ! ) your training and make sure you’re ready to walk with strength, purpose, and heart.
Whether you’re aiming to walk a few kilometres or tackle the full distance, preparation is key to enjoying the day, avoiding injuries, and crossing the finish line with a smile.
🚶♂️ 1. Start Walking — Regularly
You don’t need to be an athlete, but consistency matters. Start walking 3–4 times a week and gradually increase your distance and duration. This week: try 2–3km walks. Next week: push out to 4–5km. By Week 4: aim for a steady 7–8km.
⛰️ 2. Mix in Some Hills
Stanwell Park isn’t all flat ! Add a few inclines to build stamina and leg strength — it’ll make the event feel easier on the day.
🧘 3. Stretch It Out
Tight calves and hamstrings are a trekker’s worst enemy. Stretch before and after each walk, focusing on calves, hamstrings, quads, and hips.
🥤 4. Hydration & Nutrition Matter
Get used to walking with water and light snacks. Practice staying hydrated now — it’ll make a big difference on trek day.
👟 5. Check Your Footwear

🧠 6. Train Your Mind, Too
