After a difficult week last week, including a hospital visit for a fractured leg, we’re very pleased to share that Amarli has had a good week at home recovering. She’s been resting, spending time with her family and, in true Amarli fashion, continuing to show us just how strong and determined she is. As result she is at high risk of fractures due to osteoporosis amongst her other co-morbidities. For the past several weeks, our beautiful Amarli has been fighting for her life once again. After being admitted to hospital with severe respiratory complications, Amarli was intubated and transferred to Sydney Children’s Hospital before returning to Wollongong Hospital. She is recovering on antibiotics after being extubated and needs her family and carers by her side as she looks to get back home sometime in the near future.
