What. A. Day.
Yesterday the Illawarra showed exactly what community, heart, and purpose look like and the Amarli Army could not be prouder.
With our Lead Truck rolling proudly at the front of Convoy 2025, powered by a record-breaking $305,000 bid, we hit the road representing every supporter, donor, family member, partner, sponsor and friend who helped make this moment possible.
And honestly…it felt electric.
The Energy
From the moment we lined the road at Warrawong to the finale at Albion Park Airport, the love was everywhere. Kids waving signs. Families cheering. Businesses who’ve backed us all year standing roadside to show their support. Thousands of people, many of them strangers shouting “Go Amarli!”
Every one of them reminded us why we do this.
The People Behind the Movement
Convoy isn’t just a parade of trucks and bikes. It’s a parade of stories and yesterday, Amarli’s story led the way.
Our volunteers who’ve worked for weeks and months to prepare
Our sponsors and partners who gave generously and without hesitation
Ross Transport for driving the Lead Truck with pride
The entire Illawarra Convoy team who pull off one of the most meaningful days on the local calendar
And of course… Amarli, who inspires us to push a little harder, dream a little bigger, and show up every single day
The Impact
This isn’t about a truck. This isn’t about a headline. This is about real support for Illawarra families doing it tough.
Every dollar raised moves us closer to real change. Every cheer reminds us that people care. Every volunteer hour creates a ripple effect that lasts far beyond Convoy Day.
And We’re Just Getting Started
The Amarli Army has huge plans for the future including our Concert for Convoy this Friday at tWollongong’s Unibar.
But for now… we want to simply say:-
THANK YOU ILLAWARRA.
You showed up.You gave. You believed. And you helped create one of the proudest moments in Amarli Army’s history.
