Amarli's 2024 Year in Review

  • Lost your first tooth

  • Lived your best life on holidays @big4holidaypark

  • Celebrated your 6th birthday at the park

  • Celebrated your big brother's baptism at the church

  • Celebrated your brothers' birthdays

  • Got back into your walker and standing frame after fracturing your leg

  • Enjoyed lots of pool swims

  • Using your eye gaze to communicate

  • Smiling and interacting more than ever

  • Managed to get a whole ARMY of people all walking for you

  • Most of all a Santa photo with your family

All of these things we didn't think were possible after coming home from hospital in February after spending 6 months there. Amarli continues to prove us wrong everyday. Amarli, we celebrated you last weekend and all that you are with your beautiful "earth angels" (carers). How quickly things can change for you my girl.

Amarli had also been in hospital prior to this christmas battling a respiratory virus but happily she returned home on xmas eve to spend christmas 2024 with the family. I can honestly say, the saying that it gets easier doesn't apply here. With every admission it gets harder watching you struggle, especially at this time of year.

I wish I could fix you and take it all away. We promise to be always by your side. You make us stronger and I am forever grateful for what you have taught us. Amarli, you are the most strongest and relilient little girl with the biggest heart. You have kept smiling through it all.

Big thank yoiu to all of Amarli's Army who continue to support our family and to the amazing staff on the children's ward. You have all been amazing.

We wish you all a merry christmas and safe & healthy New Year.

There are big things in store for 2025... "Jade"
