At the heart of Amarli Army are the people who give their time, energy, and love without ever asking for the spotlight. Today, we want to shine that light on two remarkable women, Steph Gray and Sarah Muttdon, who are not only devoted carers to Amarli, but also key members of our Amarli Army committee.
To Amarli, they are more than carers, they are like family. Their bond with her is deep and genuine, and the way they support her every day goes far beyond their roles. But it doesn’t stop there.
Sarah Muttdon played a huge part in the success of last year’s Trek for Amarli, stepping up to co-ordinate the event with incredible dedication and calm determination. Her ability to bring people together, organise the logistics, and lead with heart has made her an irreplaceable part of our fundraising journey. We are so lucky Sarah continues to do so this year.

Steph Gray, meanwhile, has been creating something sweet and powerful through her personal fundraising initiative, “Cakes for Amarli.” It’s not just a bake sale — it’s a labour of love, and her cakes have not only raised much-needed funds, but awareness of our mission in the community. Every cupcake has a purpose, and every dollar raised helps Amarli and families like hers.

Both Steph and Sarah are Mums themselves, juggling their own young families while being an incredible support system to Amarli and to the Amarli Army. The generosity, compassion and strength they bring every day is nothing short of inspiring.
From all of us in the Amarli Army — thank you, Steph and Sarah. You remind us what community, care, and commitment truly look like.
